Amstel is a Dutch brewery brewed in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. They were founded in 1870 on the Mauritskade in Amsterdam. Heineken International took it over in 1968, and the brewing plant closed in 1982, with production moving to the main Heineken plant at Zoeterwoude.
